Tyrimo pagrindimas. Dėl kognityvinių ir motorinių funkcijų sutrikimų griuvimus patiria iki 60% vyresniojo amžiaus žmonių. Tai turi didelės įtakos pusiausvyros kontrolei, ypač kai kasdieniame gyvenime dažnai tenka atlikti ne vieną motorinę ir kognityvinę užduotį vienu metu. Taigi sąsaja tarp griuvimo rizikos ir pažintinės funkcijos yra labai glaudi. Dėl vos pastebimų pažintinės funkcijos pokyčių priimami netinkami sprendimai, atsiranda dėmesio sutrikimų. Tai padidina griuvimo riziką. Tikslas – nustatyti pagyvenusių žmonių statinės ir dinaminės pusiausvyros kontrolę ir kognityvinių funkcijų sąsajas. Metodai. Statinės pusiausvyros vertinimas Kistler’io platforma, dinaminės pusiausvyros vertinimas „Stotis ir eiti“ testu, dvigubos užduoties taikymas. Rezultatai. Tyrimo rezultatai parodė, kad statinės pusiausvyros išlaikymas vyresniojo amžiaus žmonėms pasunkėjo tuo pat metu atliekant kognityvinę užduotį. Dinaminės pusiausvyros kontrolė vyresniems žmonėms taip pat pasunkėjo atliekant kognityvinę užduotį, ir tokiomis sąlygomis tiriamieji 3 metrus nuėjo lėčiau. Kognityvinė užduotis reikšmingai prailgino dinaminės pusiausvyros „Stotis ir eiti“ testo atlikimo laiką. Statinė pusiausvyra yra reikšmingai susijusi su dinamine pusiausvyra atliekant kognityvinę užduotį. Išvados: 1) pagyvenusių asmenų statinės pusiausvyros kontrolė statistiškai reikšmingai pablogėjo atliekant kognityvinę užduotį be vaizdinės grįžtamosios informacijos ir užimant Romberg’o stovėseną; 2) pagyvenusių asmenų dinaminės pusiausvyros kontrolė statistiškai reikšmingai pablogėjo atliekant kognityvinę užduotį; 3) tarp statinės pusiausvyros elgsenos be vaizdinės grįžtamosios informacijos ir dinaminės pusiausvyros elgsenos, abiem atvejais atliekant kognityvinę užduotį, nustatytas statistiškai reikšmingas tiesioginis ryšys, pusiausvyros kontrolė blogėjo.
