RESUMEN:El presente texto pretende analizar la sociedad actual. En ella la tecnociencia tiene una presencia importante y ésta, a su vez, no es muy diferente con respecto a las demandas intelectuales, culturales y sociales del Barroco. Es decir, en la sociedad actual podríamos decir que sucede lo mismo, interesa más obtener resultados, que se nos asombre, más que comprender el cómo funciona o se realizan. Si bien, como aconteció en el Barroco, sectores de la sociedad emprendieron acciones para dotar de más identidad y cultura a la sociedad e ir en contra de lo institucionalmente establecido. La sociedad actual, se puede decir que es una prolongación del barroco, y nos encontramos en el neobarroco. Este al igual que en el pasado se rebela contra el sistema que sólo está preocupado por la acumulación de dinero, así como contra la ausencia de libertad y, por tanto, contra la represión y la violencia institucionalizada. En definitiva, con este artículo se trata de dar una visión desde la hermenéutica de las similitudes del Barroco con nuestra sociedad actual.PALABRAS CLAVE: Barroco. Sociología. Ciborg. Ciencia. Introducción: El siguiente artículo recupera el quehacer universitario vinculado con infancias, adolescencias y juventudes desde dos de sus tres áreas sustantivas: la Acción Social y la Investigación. Objetivo: Analizar los proyectos de Acción Social e Investigación vinculados con niñas, niños, adolescentes y jóvenes de la Universidad de Costa Rica vigentes a marzo 2021, a la luz del Atlas de Desarrollo Humano Cantonal 2020; con el fin de generar líneas orientadoras de trabajo con la población que contribuyan a la promoción de sus derechos. Método: Partiendo del Enfoque de Derechos Humanos y de Juventudes, se llevó a cabo una recuperación de proyectos de Acción Social e Investigación vigentes a marzo 2021. Posterior a ello, se clasificaron según ejes temáticos y su ubicación geográfica; información que posteriormente fue triangulada con el Índice de Desarrollo Humano Cantonal. Resultados: Se presenta una mayor concentración de proyectos en la provincia de San José y en cantones con alto Índice De Desarrollo Humano. A su vez, se presentan cantones con índices poco favorables que evidencian una presencia baja o nula por parte de la academia. Por último, existe una tendencia mayoritaria a desarrollar proyectos sobre los ejes temáticos de Educación y Salud. Conclusiones: El repensar del quehacer de la universidad y su papel frente a la realidad social se estima fundamental, para garantizar un posicionamiento, compromiso y ejercicio crítico que, responda a las necesidades e intereses de grupos históricamente excluidos y vulnerados, como lo han sido las niñas, niños, adolescentes y juventudes en el territorio costarricense.
