Resumo: A experiência contemporânea da comunicação, caracterizada por uma multiplicidade de imagens, convoca imediatamente a pensar o problema do arquivo em suas relações com a memória e o fotográfico no contexto da produção artística. Sobrevivências da imagem se oferecem da seguinte forma: quanto mais o fotográfico invade a arte, mais ela se torna gesto.Palavras-chave: arquivo; memória; fotografia; arte.Abstract: The gravity of image: art and memory in contemporaneity -The contemporary experience of communication with its multiple images invites us immediately to rethink the problem of archive in its relations to memory and the photography of a certain artistic creation. Survivals of the image are offered as follows: the more the photographic goes through the arts, the more it becomes gesture. It leads us to think "the conditions of giving themselves to the gaze" that provides certain artistic production without forgetting to investigate the place of the body.
Resumo Na experiência contemporânea, a multiplicação de próteses, interfaces e máquinas convoca imediatamente a pensar ciborgue como o que problematiza relações entre natureza e artifício. Ciborgue comporta diversidade, pode se constituir a partir de uma intervenção cirúrgica ou como um Organorg. Thierry Hoquet observa exemplos no cotidiano e nas artes, propõe cartografar o lugar ocupado por esse corpo tecnológico no pós-humano e por um novo feminismo pensado a partir dessas categorias.
Analiso trechos do filme Sermões: A História de Antônio Vieira (1989) de Júlio Bressane abordando pares de opostos, elementos que repercutem a vibração e a vertigem barroca, por exemplo: som e silêncio; cheio e vazio. Coloco em debate o processo de transcriação que permite a Bressane transitar por literatura e pintura, com ênfase na oralidade. A voz de Vieira com suas profecias e sermões conduz o cineasta a um trabalho com imagens que oferece também uma cartografia da literatura luso-brasileira, bem como da cultura.
A partir do conto A história maravilhosa de Peter Schlemihl, de Adelbert von Chamisso, o autor analisa a animação L’Homme sans ombre, de Georges Schwizgebel, e seu processo de tradução de uma linguagem a outra. A perda da sombra figura como imagem arquetípica do pacto fáustico, que leva o animador a problematizar as cores em diálogo com a pintura.
