Este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar a experiência docente de uma professora de sala de recursos multifuncionais (SRM) que atende alunos com Altas Habilidades/Superdotação (AH/SD) do ensino fundamental II e ensino médio em um município paranaense. Discute, brevemente, o conceito de AH/SD e os processos de identificação, avaliação e atendimento desses alunos nas escolas comuns e a definição de SRM e sua importância para a implementação do Atendimento Educacional Especializado (AEE) para os alunos com AH/SD. Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo sob a forma de relato de experiência compreendido como relevante modalidade de escrita acadêmica para a produção do conhecimento, neste caso, relacionada a ações de ensino, na modalidade Educação Especial. O artigo está fundamentado nas teorias de Howard Gardner e de Robert Sternberg, no sentido de se compreender a inteligência como um fenômeno plural e multifacetado, de se reconhecer a relevância da inteligência acadêmica, mas, também, a existência de habilidades em outras áreas do conhecimento, de forma a contribuir para a educação de alunos com altas habilidades/superdotação. Os resultados demonstram uma prática pedagógica que visa à aprendizagem dos conteúdos científicos e ao máximo desenvolvimento do potencial dos alunos com AH/SD.
