Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan model pendidikan karakter yang sesuai dalam membangun karakter mahasiswa UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh merosotnya karakter mahasiswa yang disebabkan oleh city syndrome, belum siapnya mahasiswa hidup mandiri, dan kondisi yang “terkotak-kotak” karena visi spiritualitas keagamaan yang berbeda-beda. Oleh karena itu, perguruan tinggi membutuhkan “jembatan” untuk mengatasi pandangan yang merasa berbeda, yaitu melalui modal sosial yang substansinya adalah menjalin, membangun, memperkuat, dan memperkaya hubungan sesama manusia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R & D), menggunakan analisis data model mixed method, dengan memberikan bobot lebih besar pada analisis kualitatif. Hasil implementasi model ini secara kualitatif dapat dilihat dari peningkatan aktualisasi nilai-nilai karakter para mahasiswa, baik nilai ketaatan beribadah, kepedulian, kerjasama, tanggungjawab, maupun kejujuran. Secara kuantitatif, model ini sangat efektif untuk membangun karakter kepedulian dan kerjasama, cukup efektif untuk membangun karakter ketaatan beribadah dan tanggungjawab, serta kurang efektif untuk membangun karakter kejujuran.
Eco-literacy play a crucial role in instilling awareness in children about the importance of protecting the environment. The purpose of this study was to describe the profile of nature school students’ eco-literacy. The research method used qualitative research with a case study approach. The research subjects were selected through the purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this study were questionnaires, observation, interviews, tests, and document study. The data analysis technique employed in this study was the interactive data analysis technique. The results revealed that: (1) cognitive aspects were quite good, indicated by a systematic understanding of nature; (2) emotional aspects were good, shown by high caring and empathy; (3) spiritual aspects were good, indicated by the attitude of respecting nature; (4) high activity aspects, shown by ability to apply ecological knowledge into life practices. Javanese culture has particular characteristics in terms of parenting, where parents have a higher position than that of their children as a whole. On the other hand, Javanese adolescents are like teenagers in general, where they need freedom of thought and expression during the process of developing adolescent identity. Both of these conditions pose problems for educators and parents about how to do appropriate care for Javanese adolescents from the teenager’s perspective in order to get a meeting point. Research on the practice of parenting in Javanese culture about the perspective of adolescents is still very rare. In the present study, we aimed to explore the parenting style experienced by Indonesian adolescents in Javanese culture deemed to have a positive effect on the development of adolescent identity from youth perspective based on their experience. We used the philosophy of phenomenology to understand this phenomenon. Data collection was conducted using semi-structured individual interviews of 5 Indonesian teenagers aged between 16-17 years, living with parents in the Javanese cultural environment, known to the public as having a good self-identity. We use qualitative analysis to understand subjective experiences, which then form insights about parenting that have a positive impact on the process of building Javanese teen identity. From the research, we found that there are 3 main themes of parenting which according to adolescents have a positive impact during the process of building their identity, namely (1) The Goals: The existence of clear family education goals; (2) The Values: There are strong values that are instilled since childhood; and (3) The Strategy: ways to instill values through fostering culture in the family. In short, our research shows that the development of Indonesian teenagers’ identities in Javanese culture is influenced by the values instilled by their parents, which they have got since childhood, and their development continues to be controlled consistently by their parents.
The blended learning (BL) model was becoming popular during the COVID-19 pandemic. Even though much research has been conducted on BL, simple steps in model BL are still scarce. BL has complex steps and requires long-term stability support. The fundamental problem is to find the right model of blended learning. This study aims to find a model to teach Islamic Religion (IR) using ASSURE and the three-stage Plomp design models. This research is type of research and development. This article finds a model of syntax BL development at IR. The students were from three Islamic universities in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This research limitation was more difficult when the COVID-19 limited classroom meetings. The innovation of this BL model is simple steps into building BL and has the originality to the contextually subject matter.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan manajemen budaya sekolah yang ada di MTs Ali Maksum Sewon, Bantul. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif naturalistik dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, tenaga pendidik, dan siswa. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui pengamatan langsung (observasi), analisis dokumen, dan wawancara secara mendalam. Untuk meningkatkan keabsahan data, peneliti menggunakan tehnik trianggulasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. (1) pengembangan budaya sekolah berbasis pesantren sebagai identitas atau karakteristik madrasah dilakukan dengan berpedoman pada nilai-nilai kepesantrenan melalui sistem pendidikan dan pengajaran, yaitu kurikulum yang diterapkan dengan mengadopsi kurikulum kemenag 100% dan kurikulum pesantren 100%, dan program unggulan dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan prestasi peserta didik, (2) pengelolaan budaya sekolah yang dikembangkan menyertakan peran langsung kepala madrasah dengan melakukan kegiatan manajemen yang meliputi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, motivasi, dan evalusi melalui pembentukan tim yang bertanggungjawab mengatur kegiatan, penjadwalan, koordinasi langsung dengan bawahan dan pembimbing di pondok, serta peninjauan dan pengawasan baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung sebagai pertimbangan dalam evaluasi.Kata Kunci: budaya sekolah, manajemen, pesantren MANAJEMEN OF PESANTREN BASED SCHOOL CULTURE AT MADRASAH TSANAWIYAH ALI MAKSUM, SEWON, BANTUL, YOGYAKARTAAbtractThis research was aimed to discription the management of school culture at MTs Ali MaksumSewon, Bantul. This was qualitative naturalistic research using the qualitative approach. The research subjects were the headmaster, deputy headmaster, teachers, and students. The data were gathered through three main direct observation, document analysis, and in-depth interview. To develop the data validity, the researcher used the triangulation technique. The research results were as follows. (1) The development of pesantren-based school culture as a madrasah identity and characteristic was conducted based on Islamic school of Koranic studies values through educational and teaching system, curriculum applied by adopting the curriculum of Kemenag 100% and curriculum of pesantren 100% as well as excellent programs and extracurricular activities which were able to improve students learning motivation and achievement. (2) The management of school culture was developed by involving direct roles of madrasah principal by performing management activities that covered planning, organizing, motivation and evaluation through establishment team that was responsible to handle activities, scheduling, direct coordination with subordinates and instructors in school and direct and indirect observation and supervision as an observation in evaluation.Keywords: school culture, management, pesantren (Islamic school)
