This paper argues that solely depending on short-term financial performance indicators to justify the benefits of JIT implementation is very misleading and could harm a company's future long-term survival. The empirical study presented in this paper investigated the effect of (JIT) implementation on the use of operation performance measures. Furthermore, the effect of the JIT implementation and the use of the operating performance measures on firms' financial/growth performance, as perceived by the managers, was examined. These effects were measured using path analysis to show direct and indirect effects of JIT practices on the other two variables. Analyses indicate that, although correlations do exist between JIT practices and managerial perceptions of a firm's financial performance, the relationships are mostly the result of spurious effects. Direct and indirect effects realized from the JIT practices on financial/growth performance are almost non-existent.
The purpose: The purpose of this study was to find the impact of organizational commitment and Job satisfaction on nurses’ job performance. Methodology: The study conducted at the hospital of Ibn al-Athir and employed a quantitative method by structured questionnaires to collect the data. 200 questionnaires were distributed randomly and only 108 valid surveys likewise; the valid questionnaires have been analyzed by SPSS to exam the impact of organizational commitment and job satisfaction on job performance. Findings: the results indicated there is a positive and significant impact of Job satisfaction on nurses' performance. However, the three components of organizational commitment, Affective Commitment, Continuance Commitment, and Normative Commitment have a positive and significant impact on nurse's performance. The findings of this research indicate that employees ' job satisfaction and organizational commitment components play a critical role in nurses' performance. Implications: of this study to enrich the body of literature in the context of Iraq, which is suffering from a lack of studies related to nurses' performance. Novelty: the study provided useful and valuable recommendations to hospitals to increase nurse performance in the context of Iraq.
Nurses roles and responsibilities contribute to the quality improvement of health care services in Malaysia. Previous research has shown that leaders play an important role in enhancing job satisfaction among the nurses. Indeed, the transformational and transactional leadership was found to be the most efficient influence among the leadership style in attaining job satisfaction. The objective of this study is to investigate the transformational and transactional leadership styles that might contribute to the job satisfaction among nurses. Survey questionnaires were used in this study as a main method for data collection. Results indicated that the transformational have more contribution towards job satisfaction compare to transactional leadership style. Based on the results, this study also includes the recommendation of future research that might be relevant to be further explored
A B S T R A C TThe cloud computing delivers services of processing data by using parallel and high computational processors virtually and remotely. This is very useful and beneficial to enterprises that have limitations in terms of processing resources, data storages and man power. However, one of the main challenge in cloud computing is data security. Supposed each user has an access to the domain based on the privilege given by the server. However, an attacker always has the opportunity to bypass the privilege by exploring and exploiting every vulnerability and threat found in the cloud computing environment. A systematic approach to identify vulnerabilities and threats is thus very important to ensure only authorized party is allowed to access the data. In this study, several approaches of vulnerability and threat modeling are reviewed and found that none of them is suitable for the cloud computing environment. Therefore, authors presented a dynamic model of identifying vulnerabilities and threats in the cloud computing environment. The proposed model enables the organization to systematically identify vulnerability and threats and analyze the security risk when they use cloud computing services.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
