This work aimed at the synthesis and characterization of transition compounds with 2-aminoterephthalate ligand in the solid state. The compounds were characterized by simultaneous thermogravimetry-differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA), whereas evolved gas analysis (EGA) was carried out by TG-DSC system coupled to an infrared spectrometer with gas cell. The characterization by these techniques allowed to monitored the thermal behavior, mass loss steps as well as the main gaseous products released in each decomposition step. Furthermore, the thermoanalytical results and titration with EDTA allowed to establish the metal:ligand stoichiometry as 1:1 as well as to determine the water content. From FT-IR results, it was possible to suggest the metal-ligand coordination.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
