Abstract: Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of the community based Cardiovascular Health Awareness Program (CHAP) on morbidity from cardiovascular disease. Design Community cluster randomised trial. Setting 39 mid-sized communities in Ontario, Canada, stratified by location and population size.
